Rick Astley Live in Manila! Rick Astley Performs Live at the Araneta Coliseum!

Billiards friends, pool players, everyone – guess what! My good friend, Jesse Gonzales, CEO of DMC Philippines and one of the pillars of the Philippines' media, entertainment, and broadcasting industry, is producing Rick Astley’s show in the Philippines! Yes, you’ve read right, everyone! Rick Astley will perform live at the Araneta Coliseum on August 1, 2008! That’s a Friday, and show starts promptly at 8 PM, friends!

Indeed, it is brilliant news – spectacular news even! For Rick Astley to agree to put his retirement on hold for at least 7 shows and play a small number of overseas dates – now that took a lot of convincing power! As you are all probably aware, Rick Astley walked away right at the height of his career – not wanting the limelight anymore. Not one bit! However, he does admit that performing in sizeable venues again gave him the same buzz as it did many years ago. Rick Astley is also keen to say that he isn't on the comeback trail.

So what does this mean? For starters, his may be your last chance to catch the man performing live in the Philippines! And knowing that my good friend, Jesse Cambosa aka Jesse Gonzales, is producing the show, it could only mean one thing – that we are definitely in for a treat come the 1^st of August! And I kid you not!
